On Tuesday, August 21, a total solar eclipse will cross the United States from Oregon to South Carolina.   This is truly a historic event!  The last time a total solar eclipse crossed the United States was June 8, 1918.  Locally, we will have the opportunity to view a partial eclipse.  Students in grades 4-12 will have the opportunity to go outside and view the eclipse with the NASA approved eclipse glasses.  Other students will view the eclipse through live-feed from the NASA website.

This activity is optional.  The student must return the permission slip that was sent home and $4 to offset the cost of the glasses.

Information concerning the eclipse will be emailed to all parents and guardians.
