On Friday, May 19, the Warriors traveled to Belzoni to face the Humphreys Academy Rebels for the State A Baseball Championship. On Tuesday, the Rebels took game one by a score of 6-5. However, the Warriors were all business on Friday! Game two was a shut-out; the Warriors won by a score of 10-0. Game 3 started slowly with a lightening delay in the first inning. As play resumed, the Warriors took an early lead and held it the whole game. The final score was 20-5! This is the first State baseball title since the 2002 championship. Way to go Warriors!
